InterContinental Resort Bali, Jimbaran Bay

Located in Bali’s Jimbaran Bay, the InterContinental Resort Bali is situated on a long sandy beach surrounded by 14 hectares of lush, tropical landscape. Ornamental ponds, a meandering lagoon and artistic stonework are integrated throughout the grounds of the resort. The InterContinental has 418 beautiful rooms that blend Balinese architecture and Hindu heritage with modern conveniences.


The Resort Classic Room has handcrafted furniture, hardwood floors and is beautifully decorated with Balinese artwork. Luxurious bed linens, a marble bath and separate shower, a satellite television and a terrace with a view of lagoons and tropical gardens makes this room a wonderful place to unwind after a day at the beach.

The Resort Classic Suite is a little larger and can accommodate a family of four. Local textiles, elegant furnishings and Balinese art decorate the suite throughout. It includes a dining and living space with sofas, tables and chairs and opens to a wrap-around terrace which is a lovely place to eat a meal or enjoy drinks at sunset. The suite also comes with a DVD player as well as an array of satellite channels to choose from.

The Singaraja Duplex Suite is a split level suite which includes a mezzanine master bedroom, a living area and a private terrace. Ideal for honeymooners, special occasions and families, this suite comes with a full bathroom upstairs and a powder room downstairs. It is decorated tastefully in dark woods and cream textiles. Balinese artwork and weavings decorate the suite throughout. Modern conveniences include a flat screen satellite television, a DVD play, broadband internet and a mini bar.


Planet Trekkers is a mini resort for children ages 4-12. There is an air-conditioned club house with activities tailored to certain age groups. Activities like Balinese music lessons, fishing, temple tours, making crafts, learning to speak Bahasa, computer games, flower making, Balinese games, Becak tours, cooking classes, touring the Rontal windmill, making a Balinese mobile, fish feeding and story time keep children occupied and happy. Planet Trekkers Resort also has a mini basketball area, table hockey and a swimming pool.

Swimming Pools – The InterContinental features six swimming pools throughout the resort grounds. The main pool is in between a bale and the Jimbaran Gardens and includes a swim-up bar. The Spray Pool is a fun place for children to play and cool down in and the Planet Trekkers Pool is made especially with children in mind.

Cultural Activities – Enjoy the cultural and artistic heritage of Bali by seeing a religious ceremony at the InterContinental Temple or walk the resort grounds to see the various artworks decorating the InterContinental. Even walking along the beach can be a cultural experience as you experience the colourful fishing boats coming home after a night of fishing.

Water Activities – Bali is a tropical island with miles of sandy beaches, warm waters to swim in and water activities like surfing, snorkelling and sailing to try. Even people who prefer dry land appreciate the long walks looking for shells or lying back on the warm sands and watching the world go by.


The InterContinental has dining to suit all tastes. Bella Singaraja is known for delicious pasta dishes, Italian seafood specialties and gelati ice creams. The Taman Gita Terrace serves an extensive breakfast buffet with local, Asian and Western delicacies and also has a fruit and vegetable station as well as a coffee station. Other choices include the Saraswait Lounge and several bars.
